How it works
The solar (photovoltaic) panel is simply mounted on the inside of the window opening and converts the sun's light into electrical energy. The harnessed electrical energy is stored within a Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery which powers Somfy wirefree solutions for shades and blinds. Depending on the type of motorized window covering, the battery can be either embedded in the motor or mounted externally.
