Shade hem bars are used at the bottom of a shade to help keep the shade flat while it is hanging. Internal hem bars are typically concealed in a pocket formed by folding the shade material. Traditionally, wood or aluminum is used for shade or blind hems. Aluminum provides the benefit of resistance to warp, strength and increased weight. Large shades and stiff shade materials require the use of heavier ham bars.
The Rollease RCBIHB profiled aluminum internal hem bar features a nicely curved front face, rounded edges and is a somewhat tall compared to the alternatives. This hem bar is preferred by many shade manufacturers as it can be used for both small and large shades.
