Motor
• Gaposa XS50-DC4028 RF & DCT Shade Motor w/adapters, not installed in tube *
* Motors are not installed in the shade tube to protect the motor during transit. The motors will ship separately with all necessary adapters installed and ready for easy installation. The motor and idler require the insertion of 3 (total) small screws to secure the adapters to the end of the tubes. Please refer to the shade installation instructions below with the downloads.
Tubes Sizes
• Shades up to 144" width use 2.5" Rollease Shade Tubes.
• Shades 144" to 168" width use 3.25" Rollease Shade Tubes.
Tall shades at 144" Width and less may require the use of 3.25" tubes due to tube deflection. We calculate tube deflection to determine the flatness of a shade and make adjustments to the shade tube size as necessary.
Idler / End Plug
• ZMC RS-884 Ultra Retractable Idler End Plug not Installed in tube
Brackets
• ZMC RS-701 Star Head Motor Brackets are used on shades without Fascia.
• ZMC RS-711 Idler End Brackets are used on shades without Fascia.

Motor Information
The Gaposa XS50 series Super Sileos XS50-DC4028 is a quiet 24VDC roller shade motor. Gaposa XS Super Sileos motors are engineered with superior noise reduction technology and are barely heard. This heavy duty motor is designed for tubes as small as 2" in diameter and does not have any practical limits with respect to it use with roller shades. Choose this motor where medium to very large shades need to be lifted and where operation must be at their quietest levels.
Radio Frequency: This Gaposa shade motor is Radio Frequency based so you don't have to point the remote at it every time you want to control it. In fact, you can control the shades in your living room from your bedroom completely wirelessly. The motor stores the limits set by the remote controls. With the momentary press of a button you can command the shade to go to the Full up, Full Down and to a customer specified preferred position. No need to hold the button down and wait for the shade to reach the desired position.
Dry Contact Control Technology: Not a fan of RF control or maybe you want to use wired and RF control together. This Gaposa motor also has dry contact control built-in. Dry contact control allows you to the control with simple buttons, switches, relays or third party programmable contacts. Dry contact controls do not require or use voltage. All you have to do short two wires together to command the motor.
Note: The motor is not programmable via the dry contact wires but the upper and lower limits (Not Intermediate) can be programmed via the buttons on the motor head.
Multiple Controls: The shade motor is controlled via Gaposa's advanced RF technology which offers the user simple individual or group control. Each motor can be controlled by more than one remote control. You can use one remote for local room based control and another remote for whole home control. Need more advanced controls? No problem, Gaposa has the RollApp Android/iOS mobile device interface that provides manual and scheduled timer based control. Need integration with your home automation system? No Problem, Gaposa has the LinkIt RS232 control and QCTZ36SDU Dry Contact interface for integration with Home Automation systems.
Soft Stop: The shade motor reduces speed as it nears a programmed stopping point to softly stop your shade.

Maximum Width limitations are guidelines to minimize tube deflection and are not always a reflection of lifting capacity. The combination of shade size, material and motor are analyzed to provide the flattest shade possible. We will sometimes deviate slightly from the somewhat generically stated maximum width limitations.
A typical Gaposa XS50-DC4028 motorized shade 30" W x 60" H on a 2.5" tube uses approximately 450ma of current at 24VDC.
* Our stated current draws are for use as estimates ONLY and are not specifications. Gaposa states the XS50-DC5028 Motors consume 2000ma (2A) per motor. Current draw will depend on motor used, type of window treatment (roller shade, cellular, roman etc), size of tube, size and weight of the shade. To be certain of your needs you should test the current draw of your particular window treatment. Size your power supplies accordingly.

Shade Coverings - Fascia, Valances, Cornices
Due to the possible options Fascia, Valances and Cornices are offered separately from the shades and can be purchased in our Shade Coverings page.
A couple examples of the our offerings are listed below.
Classic IB Valance
The Classic IB shade valance provides a simple clean covering for your window treatment needs. This valance is offered in a large variety of materials so it can blend in or provide a nice textural contrast. This valance is constructed of shade material and has a hemmed pocket with an aluminum hem bar. One of the nice features of this valance is its soft nature. It can be easily moved out of the way to gain access to the window treatment behind it. The Classic IB Valance is available with a height of 5" to 8" and is offered with two different header options to suit your mounting needs. The 1" D x 3/4" H header can be used where you have adequate depth to mount the valance in front of the shade or you can choose 3 1/2"D x 3/4" H header that you would mount in the window frame before mounting the shade and then mount the shade to the header board. The valance is mounted to the header board using staples so it can be dismantled, modified and reassembled by the users to further suit their needs.
Fascia
The Rollease RFP Series aluminum fascia panel simply snaps into the fascia panel brackets for easy access to the roller shade components. The RFP series fascia panel can be used for inside or outside frame mount applications. This fascia panel covers the front and bottom to hide the shade assembly. The back and top of the fascia are left open. The use of this fascia panel forces the shade to use regular roll. Regular roll puts the shade material closest to the window. We offer 3" and 4" Fascia panels which are compatible with our Chain & Clutch Shades, Gaposa Motorized Shades and Somfy Motorized Shades. Some shades will not be compatible with the 3" Fascia and will require the 4" Fascia.
Lead Time
The lead time for fabrication of shades is typically 7 business days but please check the lead time indicated near the "Add to Cart" button. The lead time for shades varies throughout the year and it will be listed more accurately there. The product ships directly from our shade manufacturer to you.
Return Policy
Shades are built to customer specific requirements and as such are special order items. We can not accept returns for custom built or special order items. This does not mean we are not able to help customers post purchase. Shades ordered too wide may be returned and cut down. Shades ordered too small can not be fixed. Some components of the order might also be returnable. Please contact us if you have questions about our return policy.
Warranty
Shade Fabrication: Limited Lifetime non-transferable warranty. Covers workmanship: IE Hemming, Attachment of material to the tube etc.
Shade Material: Phifer Materials carry a 5 or 10 year limited warranty against defects depending on the particular fabric. Fading and changes in color are not warranted. Interior shade control fabrics must be used in interior applications.
Rollease Components: Rollease provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty on their Clutch mechanisms and a 10 Year limited warranty on other components.
Gaposa Li-ion Motors and Controls carry a limited 3 Year Warranty against defects and failure when used in interior shading applications. Products must comply to technical design and usage standards.
Gaposa AC and DC Motors carry a limited 5 Year Warranty against defects and failure when used in interior shading applications. Products must comply to technical design and usage standards.
All warranties stated herein are limited abbreviated warranties and consumers should check with component manufacturers for complete warranty terms. As is the case with all warranties. AV Outlet, SOMFY, Phifer, Rollease etc shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage, direct or consequential, arising out of, or the inability to use the equipment. Before using, the buyer and/or the ultimate user shall determine the suitability of the product for its intended use and the user assumes all risks and liability in connection therewith. The consumer is responsible for returning the product for warranty servicing.
