All Gaposa remote controls allow you to program the limits of the shade. You do not have to point the remote at the motor it every time you want to control it. You can control the shades in your living room from your bedroom completely wirelessly. The Gaposa motor stores the limits set by the remote controls. With the momentary press of a button you can command the shade to go to the Full up or Full Down position. The advanced RF control technology offers the user simple individual or group control. All shades on the same channel will operate simultaneously. Each motor can be controlled by more than one remote control so you can have dedicated room controls and master controls for the whole home.

Custom Cut Tube Length
As a free service we will cut the tube to a specific length to suit your needs. The tube width and fabric width are typically the same unless you have a really tall shade and want to leave a little extra room for material tracking as it rolls up on the tube.

Optional: FREE custom cut lengths cut to an accuracy of 1/16" +/- 1/32

We do not accept requests for cuts to 32nds, we do not use mm and decimals should have fractional equivalents on a tape measure.

Cut lengths can not be longer than the item length. Example: If the item length is titled as 24" or 2 Feet and you need 24 1/16", you will need to buy the next size up which should be 36" or 3 Feet.

Custom Cut Hem Bar Length
As a free service we will cut the hem bar to a specific length to suit your needs. Hem bars are typically cut to the same dimension as the tube and fabric unless you are going to seal the ends of the hem bar pocket. Sealing the ends prevents the hem bar from sliding out of the pocket. We recommend making the Hem Bar length 1" less than the tube length if you are going to seal the ends. This leaves 1/2" per side to seal the hem bar pocket.

Tip to Tip Measurement: This is the measurement used for shades mounted within a window frame or within framed constraints. This is effectively the measurement from the outside edge of the brackets in a shade system.

Maximum Width limitations are guidelines to minimize tube deflection and are not always a reflection of lifting capacity. The shade fabricator calculator below should be used to determine a system's limitations.


The use of the internal hem bar requires a material formed pocket at the bottom of the shade. The hem bar pocket is typically formed by stitching or fusing the material. Alternative methods like double stick tape and adhesives can be used with some experimentation.


The included roller shade tube features double stick tape to securely attach your roller shade material. We recommend cutting the shade material height so a minimum of 1.5" extra wraps of material is left on the shade tube when the shade is fully down. This prevents the material from directly pulling on the tape.


* Projection Distance is the distance from the mounting surface to the center of the tube. You would need to shim the brackets or use larger projection brackets if half the roll diameter is larger than the projection distance of the brackets. If you do not know what your roll diameter is you can calculate the roll diameter using the shade calculator below.


Actual shade size, tube size and material should be used to determine the true limits of a system. The Shade Fabricator Calculator below will predict tube deflection (and more) based on tube size, material weight, width and height. Tube deflection is bending of the tube and causes ripples in the hanging shade material.

About the Motor

The Gaposa XS50 series Super Sileos XS50-DC4028 is a quiet 24VDC roller shade motor. Gaposa XS Super Sileos motors are engineered with superior noise reduction technology and are barely heard. This heavy duty motor is designed for tubes as small as 2" in diameter and does not have any practical limits with respect to it use with roller shades. Choose this motor where medium to very large shades need to be lifted and where operation must be at their quietest levels.

Radio Frequency: This Gaposa shade motor is Radio Frequency based so you don't have to point the remote at it every time you want to control it. In fact, you can control the shades in your living room from your bedroom completely wirelessly. The motor stores the limits set by the remote controls. With the momentary press of a button you can command the shade to go to the Full up, Full Down and to a customer specified preferred position. No need to hold the button down and wait for the shade to reach the desired position.

Dry Contact Control Technology: Not a fan of RF control or maybe you want to use wired and RF control together. This Gaposa motor also has dry contact control built-in. Dry contact control allows you to the control with simple buttons, switches, relays or third party programmable contacts. Dry contact controls do not require or use voltage. All you have to do short two wires together to command the motor.

Note: The motor is not programmable via the dry contact wires but the upper and lower limits (Not Intermediate) can be programmed via the buttons on the motor head.

Multiple Controls: The shade motor is controlled via Gaposa's advanced RF technology which offers the user simple individual or group control. Each motor can be controlled by more than one remote control. You can use one remote for local room based control and another remote for whole home control. Need more advanced controls? No problem, Gaposa has the RollApp Android/iOS mobile device interface that provides manual and scheduled timer based control. Need integration with your home automation system? No Problem, Gaposa has the LinkIt RS232 control and QCTZ36SDU Dry Contact interface for integration with Home Automation systems.

Soft Stop: The shade motor reduces speed as it nears a programmed stopping point to softly stop your shade.
