The Somfy 2" Idler End Cap is used opposite the motor and can be used only with Somfy or Rollease 2" smooth wall shade tubes. The 2"Idler features a spring loaded 10mm shaft that allows for easier installation of the shade assembly within the mounted brackets. This idler is the easiest one to use with 2" smooth wall shade tubes and does not require any adapters.

The Somfy 9013774 is the idler end plug used in Acmeda 44mm tubes for standard configuration shades. This Acmeda idler end plug must be used with the the Acmeda brackets that come in 2 variations, a 40mm projection (9013778) and 44mm projection (9013779). The benefit of the Acmeda end plug is the use of a small diameter low friction metal pin end that is spring loaded and the pin end can also be retracted by turning the gear on the end of the plug which facilitates easier assembly.

The Somfy 9013785 is the female idler end portion of the Acmeda intermediate link bracket assembly that mates with the 9013786 male Acmeda idler end. These Acmeda components must be used in conjunction with the Acmeda intermediate support bracket that comes as a straight link in 40mm projection (9013783) and 44mm projection (9013784). Acmeda also has an adjustable 0 to 90 degree link bracket that comes in a 40mm projection (9013787) and 44mm projection (9013788). Note: The adjustable angle Acmeda intermediate brackets use two male intermediate idlers and no female intermediate idlers. The benefit of the Acmeda components are their use of a sealed bearing in the link bracket to provide smooth trouble free operation. Additionally, every Acmeda idler end is spring loaded and the pin end can also be retracted by turning the gear on the end of the plug which facilitates easier assembly.
